Pom of Power (Hades mocktail)Ingredients:2 oz Aplós (Non-alcoholic spirit)1 ½ oz Pomegranate juice1 splash Lemon juicePomegranate seedsLemon twistDirections: Shake all ingredients in a mixer with ice and strain into rocks glass, over fresh ice. Garnish with a few pomegranate seeds and a lemon twist. This drink is inspired by the Pom of Power powerup item in Hades, by Supergiant Games. The main ingredient is Aplós, a non-alcoholic “spirit” with strong citrus flavors, among others. The name means simple in Greek, so I chose to keep the drink just that. The unique taste of the bite of the main ingredient, sweetness of the pomegranate juice, and acidity of the lemon juice is a strong yet refreshing mix.
