gingergarlicfood: Fudgy Chocolate BrowniesHalfway through the week and you just cannot wait for Friday night to get here. All that stress calls for some indulgence. And what’s better than chocolaty brownies, hm?To make these squares of joy, you will need:100 gm unsalted butter1 cup sugar (demerara or regular will do)1 tsp instant coffee powder, dissolved in 1 tbsp hot water2 eggs½ tsp baking powder¼ tsp salt1 tsp vanilla essence2/3 cup cocoa powder1 cup all-purpose flour, siftedHandfuls of chocolate chips and chopped walnutsPreheat your oven at 180 C, line a 9x9 in square tin and keep aside.Microwave the butter and sugar in a bowl, and combine well. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, baking powder, salt, dissolved coffee and vanilla essence. To this add the cocoa powder and blend it well so that you have a nice gooey chocolate mix.Pour the melted butter & sugar into the chocolate mix and mix well till all the ingredients are well combined. Then, mix in the flour, making sure there are no air pockets in the batter. Now for my favourite part! Gently fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts into the batter. You can go crazy with your toppings and add other ingredients like Nutella (oh, yumm!). Bake for about 20-25 minutes at 180 C, till a skewer inserted comes out clean-ish. While you sink in the aroma of these delicious brownies, think of all the possible combinations you could try with them with. Ice cream, chocolate sauce, salted caramel – oh, so sinful. -- source link
