I think the previous owners must have divided the rooms with curtains. Not a very neat solution. I think those eyelets sticking out of the arch must have been used to hang a rail although I’m danged if I know what the ones at floor level were for. They seem pretty heavy duty I guess they didn’t want to damage the arch taking them out. Rest assured we will have them removed before you move in. Leave them? OK.
