In the photograph on the left (circa 1920), Raymond and Mildred Pitcairn support their son Michael, who is perched on the edge of a cement birdbath at Cairnwood. Recently we found photographic evidence that this birdbath later moved with the family to Glencairn, where it was placed in a garden outside the north porch. An expedition to Glencairn’s basement storage area this morning revealed what is left of the birdbath. (Just the base!) -- source link
