April 2016 - Hellebore setting seedThe bloom color is actually much closer to white, my camera had a hard time here but one of the neat things about Hellebores is that they set out very obvious seeds. Some plants produce these tiny little things, meant to be blown by the wind. Hellebores are more about ‘plop these sizable things on the ground’, which makes them easy for seed saving if you’re into that sort of thing. I tried that the first year I had them, but afterwards, I just let them drop what, when, and where they wanted so the Hellebore patch would grow of their own accord. Way less work! -- source link
