MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS (1934)by Agatha ChristieSynopsis: Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, detective Hercule Poirot must identify the murderer—in case he or she decides to strike again. My review: One of my favorite Agatha’s books. Poirot decides to travel with Orient Express. In the first night, one American passenger asks his help bacause he received some notes threatening his life and he seeks protection. Poirot refuses kindly. The next day, they found him dead with multiple stabbings and Poirot remembers that the previous night he heard things in the cabin next to him where the American stayed. So the suspects are the people living in this wagon and Hercule thinks that it’s one of them so he is determined to catch the killer. He reveals some facts that reminds him of an old case that seems some of the passengers have a connection with. With his intelligence and his sharp eye he will solve this complicated case while everything will make sense for him eventually. Agatha made an amazing wintery and mysterious atmoshere while adding an emotional touch in this case that really moved me and made this books so special. I really loved it!!!5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -- source link
