DEATH ON THE NILE (1937)by Agatha ChristieSynopsis: The tranquillity of a cruise along the Nile is shattered by the discovery that Linnet Ridgeway has been shot through the head. She was young, stylish and beautiful, a girl who had everything - until she lost her life. Hercule Poirot recalls an earlier outburst by a fellow passenger: ‘I’d like to put my dear little pistol against her head and just press the trigger.’ Yet in this exotic setting, nothing is ever quite what it seems..My review: One of my favorite Agatha’s books. It’s a nice crime mystery book with touches of love and hate, a broken women’s friendship for a man, and a dead body in the middle of a cruise will upset everyone, especially, Hercoile Poirot, who decided to spend his vaccation there and it seems he won’t enjoy his trip once again. Or maybe solving this case and catch the killer will give him joy. He immediately starts interrogatting everyone in the shop and he is determined to reveal the truth behind this murder. I liked so much the way Agatha wrote the story in two parts. In the first we get to know the characters and in the second, the cruise is happening. She used so vivid and exotic descriptions of Egypt that i felt i was traveling too. I loved it!!!5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -- source link
