LORD EDGWARE DIES (1933)by Agatha ChristieSynopsis: An Agatha Christie mystery story. Poirot had been present when Jane bragged of her plan to ‘get rid of’ her estranged husband. Now the monstrous man was dead. And yet the great Belgian detective couldn’t help feeling that he was being taken for a ride. After all, how could Jane have stabbed Lord Edgware to death in his library at exactly the same time she was seen dining with friends? And what could be her motive now that the aristocrat had finally granted her a divorce? My review: One more amazing crime mystery by Agatha, that is one of my favorite. Edgware dies, and his wife becomes first suspect, because so many people heard her say, she’ll gladly murder her husband. The reason? He didn’t want the divorce she was asking. Poirot, becomes a part of this case and finds out that she had an strong alibi for that day and the fact that Edgware eventually agreed to the divorce, shows lack of motive. Poirot is determind to find the truth and catch the killer. He reveals so many dark secrets from the suspects and his brilliant mind start solving this complicated mess, because you simply cannot fool Hercule Poirot. The ending? Shocking and full of twists. I really enjoyed this one, i had so many theories that none of them was right, but that’s why i loved this journey!5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -- source link
