archatlas: [imaginaria] The world as I see it Andrea Costantini Each artwork of the “Imaginaria” series tells a story through images molded, written and then mixed with imagination. To honor the great artist Michelangelo, who carved the David with the head slightly larger than the rest of the body, to symbolize the power of reason, all the characters of “Imaginaria” are made with the same disproportion. Here, the mind embodies the force that drives the wonderful gear of the imagination that is released from the head. Anachronistic and ridiculous ideas erupt from the mind, free from the dictates of the reason, like a panacea, capable of transforming the dullness of routine in the color of imagination. To the viewer, the freedom to read every time a different story, by borrowing the artist’s imagination, the one of the depicted subject, or simply by triggering his own imagination.
