A Hamster loo. This is one Charlotte spotted. Apparently you can train small rodents to go to the toilet in a convenient plastic container (convenient for you perhaps not really for the hamster I suspect). The fact that people would prefer that their pets are trained to ‘go’ in a certain spot is perhaps not too surprising for 'big’ pets but enforcing this on a relatively small and, I think I can reasonably say, fairly unintelligent pet is staggering. Equally disturbing is that this is not a single 'one off’ product. There are competitors out there all trying to sell you different versions of their hamster loos including 'deluxe’ versions. Is this part of a wider worrying trend towards further anthromorphising pets - the fact that people have train their cats to sit on human toilets would suggest so. I am waiting for the next step in this trend; “design a better goldfish toilet and the world will bet a path to your door”. -- source link
