I had never seen a photograph of one, and had only ever seen them in animation or like drawn in pictures. Hell, there’s one in Elf, but it’s claymation so I was just like HAHA IT’S FAKE but then I saw footage of one and let me tell you I needed to sit down. But like honestly….there’s a whale with a fucking long ass unicorn horn just swimming around the ocean. WHY would I EVER think it was real?I really fucking love narwhals and was so excited when a bunch of people at a day camp my community mental health does for kids that are clients didn’t know what they were so I could explainWe have two girls (sisters) in the neighborhood, currently ages 8 and 10, who do not believe in wolves, a fact we learned two years ago. They literally told my daughter, an avid wolf fan, “You know wolves aren’t *real*.”They only believe in huskies, coyotes, and WHITE wolves. Any wolf that isn’t white is either a husky or a coyote.
