I want you to listen to someone speak actual german because it’s absolutely gorgeous. Second of all, they didnt even use the right word for pen! It’s der Kuli… as for the other words, I’m five hundred percent sure most are nof correct. What I do know is that the german word for ambulence which the original creator found sounds more silly than serious and angry… Well that’s just, like, your opinion man. =) One thing is cynical sleeper deleted my original text: “I know you’re nice German, you just sound mad to someone like me ignorant to your ways.” I’ve heard real Germans in the flesh and yeah it can be sweet and seductive, but sometimes it just sounds angry to me. Further I don’t make any claims to the veracity of these translations, it’s really more of a metaphor for the stereotype. Like the phrase, “like a frog on a hot plate,” which doesn’t reflect reality but is a vehicle for a particular idea. That’s the way I thought about these ragecomics.
