Harper and his best friend Sam back in 1986 before they became vampires. They were just a couple of shitbag drug dealers living in LA. They were big into the club scene and sold heroin for a guy names Styles. Sam began doing some extra work as a “collection agent” for Styles, roughing up and even sometimes killing patrons who owed him money. One such person, Ruby Redd, was on Sam’s list, but she made him a better offer. He agreed, provided she would extend the offer to Harper as well. So Harper and Sam became vampires and in exchange they massacred Styles and his men. Ruby became their master and they became her boyfriends and together they lived out the 80s, 90s, and 00s preying on junkies and runaways and having a grand old time. Sam and Ruby were killed in 2014 by a werewolf they had employed to guard their coven during the day. -- source link
