I had no idea.There are variations of the swastika all over the world. Hitler ruined it for a loooooot of people.Wow.I had no idea the Navajo people did this. To renounce the use of an important symbol from their heritage is a very, very strong gesture. I am humbled by this act. My heart goes out to all peoples who used this symbol as an emblem and had it ruined by the Nazis. According to Corbis Images, the Papagos, Apache, and Hopi also banned the swastika. -- source link
