Shown here are characters:Hotarugusa, is an other name given to Issun-boshi, a brave warrior boy tiny like fireflyJorougumo, are deceptive youkai spiders luring preys by turning into beautiful women Kijo Momiji 鬼女红叶, kijo are young female demons, the one from “Maple legend” (momiji densetsu) is especially famousKairaishi 傀儡师, were street performers, acrobats or jugglers, especially known later for performing puppet showsYama usagi, this one left me super puzzled: I don’t know what this frog like monster is (if you know drop me a note ^^). The girl though, with her white+red clothes and red eyes, is a classical depiction of a moon rabbitEDIT many thanks @daeva-agas for this info:  Maybe it’s not widely known, but there are actually two animals associated with the moon. It’s not just Rabbit, but Frog too. Some traditions say that when Chang'E/Jyoga drank the immortality pill and flew to the moon, she transformed into a frog. So if Yama-usagi is based on the Moon Rabbit legend, then that’s why she’s paired with the frog. -- source link
