Well, I question the use of fresh fruit and black tea for reasons of neatness and adulteration, and I can’t agree with Barley for protection when it’s usually used for abundance and growth. If you’re looking to put this exclusively into cooking magic, then yes, this is viable, but for general spellcraft, I’d make some alterations. The changes I would make (ignoring the specialty herbs) would be: Courage - Ginger Luck - Orange Peel Money - Allspice Protection - Basil & Rosemary Success - Cinnamon Salt for purification works fine, as does Pecan for gaining employment. Other grocery store finds that are very useful would be Thyme for all-purpose healing, Honey for sweetening and persuasion, Chervil or Apples for love, and Bay Leaves for banishing. -- source link
