DONATING COSPLAY IN AMERICA V2 TO LIBRARIES IN 2021!A few years ago I donated copies of my book Cosplay in America V2 to libraries across the country like Butler County Federated Library in PA (Hi Emily!)In high school, I used to go to my local library Kendall branch in Houston. My parents were always working so from after school to 5:30 pm, I would do my homework, read comics (they were so torn up from so many readings!) or read novels. Day in and day out for four years of high school, you would find me in the library. I half-considered being a librarian as a teenager and funny enough during the pandemic today, I’m in graduate school online for Library Science ! Libraries are so important to the communities. Besides, books, DVDs and other media, the library provides s range of services to the people. The library is a vital part of society and unfortunately they don’t get the funding they deserved and that’s just a damn shame. So this year I am planning to donate 50 copies of my book Cosplay in America V2 again at no charge to libraries. None, zip, nada, free books for libraries BUT I need your help with the shipping costs! My book weights 3 pounds and with shipping envelope and USPS Media Rate it comes close to $6 to ship my book. I plan on donating 50 books so $6 a book for shipping = $300. The fundraiser goes to the end of March so if I raised more than $300, each extra $6 for shipping goes to donating another book to another library. So please donate through Ko-Fi, a tipping service that takes no money so all the money donated goes to the goal. —-> https://ko-fi.com/cosplayinamericaIf you are a librarian, feel free to email me from your library email and I’ll start a list. ejen@cosplayinamerica.com with subject Cosplay book for Library. Please include the Library’s Address as well as who I should put attention to. Once the fundraiser is over at the end of March, I’ll start shipping out books. United States libraries, please. Thank you! Dallas Central Library in TX -- source link
