That’s approximately how many individuals are killed every single SECOND in the UK alone.Each one of these eyes was drawn from the photography of the brilliant Saving Me The animals she photographed were waiting outside British slaughterhouses in trucks that had driven them to their deaths. As I drew each eye, as cliché as this sounds, I feel like I glimpsed into the soul of each animal that was about to die, and my heart grew heavier with each one.
