apoherm:herdrafts Today I want to tell you about the books that represent my autumn 2019 and that have taken on a special meaning.Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets — Slytherin edition, was given to me by my sister on my birthday after being sorted by pottermore into Slytherin. I loved this book! it made me rediscover a new Potter, much more enjoyable (it was also the first hp I read in English).Practical Magic is the movie I watch every Halloween night, so I decided to pick up the book and I found out it’s completely different from the movie adaptation, much more darker and detailed, which I appreciated.Autumn was the first book I read by Ali Smith. I fell in love with her unique style and unconventional characters. I highly recommend it.The Secret History is that kind of fiction you either love it or hate it. Basically the story was entertaining, despite some chapters were really long and boring. Donna Tartt’s writing skills was the reason I started writing my own novel. On a cold and lonely night, having dinner on my own, I was watching Dead Poets Society since it’s a very popular movie and I hadn’t watched it yet. Heartbreaking, melancholic, wonderful. I didn’t know that the book was published after the film was released when I bought it, however there are some extra “scenes” I enjoyed reading and the writing flows smoothly from word to word, a must read.I hope this autumn will be rich of new and exciting readings. I’ll keep you updated on my upcoming tbr, sharing my experience with you through my reviews. So, let me know now, what on your October tbr? -- source link
