archiemcphee:These enchanting ribbon creatures are the work of Japanese artist and illustrator Baku Maeda for a new sculptural project entitled Ribbonesia.We’re pretty pleased if we can successfully tie a pretty bow around a present, but Baku is able to bend, twist, and tie lengths of ribbon in order to beautifully recreate animals and plants that he encountered while growing up on Japan’s northernmost island of Hokkaido.
