Beautiful moments pass by and I’m happy in an amplified sort of way, taking everything in deep and nice. Large poems fall out of loved ones mouths, and I carry them in my chest– rainbows bursting into threads of fireworks and cheery fields of poppies. There are even vibrations of songs that seem to pick up and cause static to ring there in the quiet, whispering melodies in dreams. It’s all very heavy and it’s all very good and real transformation has pushed me towards a brightness that kisses every part of the interconnectedness I seek. There of course still IS occasional hard stuff that knocks me down plenty, such as my insomnia and inability to be content with mankind’s destruction of Earth, but I’m learning ways to navigate that and produce more, consume less. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoHere’s some cool stuff that’s happened (or is happening) here at home:1. It was Princess Beard’s Birthday at the end of February, so we spent the afternoon with family. After going on a scavenger hunt and writing and singing a song with Rae under the band-name ‘Sandbox Stars’ – we were spoiled with a delicious dinner and cake. Lincoln and Zach were hair-whippin’ rockers.2. Housing Plans are coming together finally and we’ve got a lot keeping us giddy. Permaculture is an ongoing philosophy we’ve chosen to use when approaching our land and love, and it’s been something that’s taught us a lot so far. We even thought up a name for future art and farm ventures. I’ll have another blog up soon, with information on different projects we’re starting. 3. We tapped maple trees on our property and have a couple days yet to still spend boiling sap down. It’s a fun process and has kept us well busy.4. Oh, and I’ve learned how to knit and loom! Zachary just started a new scarf and we’re attending an herbal lecture with his mom tonight. :]5. Seed lists have been made and we got a whole bounty of goodies from Baker Creek. We’re both super psyched to start growing our own food. -- source link
