Introducing my little beauty, Evie, who arrived earlier than planned last week. My poor angel has been through a lot, as have I, in her last hours as a bump and her first days as an infant. Because of some pretty serious health complications from me that I was refused treatment for due to a very damaging healthcare law our constitution, things escalated to a scary level on Saturday and she needed to be removed from me in a pretty traumatic, laparoscopic emergency surgery. She didn’t breath immediately and went into distress. I was completely knocked out during the birth and she was in the Special Care Baby Unit when I came to. I didn’t see her for 24 hours and I have only seen her 4 times since birth. I also had to be whisked down for another major repair surgery on Monday night so my recovery is pretty horrendous too. Needless to say, I’m devastated. She IS beginning to thrive there though and the team caring for her are just the most beautiful bunch of people. My husband is amazing with her, my parents are priceless. And she herself is just the most special and beautiful little being. Wish us luck. It’s going to be a long road. I’m incredibly grateful she got here safely. I’m just anxious now to get well and bond. Xxx -- source link
