What I choose to eat is a reflection of how much I value myself, how much self worth I have. I used to punish myself by eating low carb diets. I wouldn’t allow myself to eat over 1200 calories per day. I vehemently hated my body. I would intentionally buy smaller clothes, believing that once I reached a smaller size I would be “good enough”. But you know what? No matter how much I dieted or over exercised I never saw the results I wanted. I still loathed my body. It wasn’t until I embraced a mentally of food abundance, until I focused on eating raw, plant based foods that I began to see how twisted my relationship with food and my physique really was. The journey to loving myself was hard at first. Outwardly it looked like I was effortlessly thriving on a raw lifestyle, but I still didn’t value myself. The lack of love I had for my body resulted in the same old self sabotaging behaviour I had from my dieting days. It wasn’t until I began doing the inner work surrounding the negative beliefs about myself that real transformation happened in my life. When I began to embrace who I was, when I began to fully love myself, that’s when the magic started. Food became path to nourishment instead of punishment. Now I eat raw because I want to nourish my body. I choose to love myself, flaws and all, and one way I show that love is to eat these gorgeous raw foods that nourish me from the inside out. #fullyraw #rawfood #whatrawveganseat #selflove #highcarbvegan -- source link
