Silver print, France.The first rule of fight club…I don’t know if the naked chest is for the sake of freedom of movement but smh leaving your most vulnerable body area unprotected like that in a duel????it’s for sanitary reasons. i don’t know if the picture above was staged (which might be likely), but it’s probably a reference to the duel that took place in 1892 in verduz, between Princess Pauline Metternich and the Countess Kielmannsegg. The duel was organized and presided over by the Baroness Lubinska, who had an actual degree in medicine, who suggested the ladies duel bare-chested to avoid infections (strips of clothing could be driven into the wound by the point of a sword).
