With my free time I much enjoy making small wood, horn or bone carvings. I’ve been wanting to make a series of jewelry from my carvings but anyone that is familiar with my jewelry knows that I hand fabricate and don’t cast. But the only way the silver version would be authentic to the wooden version would be to cast the original wooden carving. So I’ve decided to make a silver sand casting and include the original wooden one with the jewelry. This way you will get a one of a kind set! For my first project I made a little wood owl using only a small knife. It was then sand casted in 950 silver. Bails where hand fabricated.
