STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE is an AU I developed with @disco-descent in which bugsnax are not parasites but a sapient hivemind capable of forming symbiotic relationships with other organisms. Gramble’s little friend is named Cakerie.Symbiosis mutates the body of the host but gives them enhanced strength and stamina, as well as the ability to communicate with the rest of the hive through their snak symbiote. And in exchange, the hive gets a sort of ambassador who can do all sorts of useful things, like speak on its behalf and perhaps convince others to come join their little family… -- source link
