yourkickstartersucks:when we talked about this on the podcast (itunes link) we concluded that we just had to come up with another stock joke to explain the uselessness of crowdfunding, but im not so sure now. maybe the fact that there is actually a toaster (or there will be, anyway, once they can figure out how to extract the toast from it) that connects to your phone, and prints stuff onto the toast, including the weather forecast and anything you write on the app, makes the “smart toaster” reference even better. With the Smart-everything trend fueling the market, lots of products are being proclaimed as “Smart” but in fact they are just ordinary appliances with a digital screen attached. Toasteroid is clearly a different product (doesn’t even need a digital screen). Every feature of Toasteroid has been designed to fulfill actual needs and the desire to connect with people. actually, i never want to think about this ever againhttps://www.kickstarter.com/projects/258723592/toasteroid-first-app-controlled-smart-image-toaste/description -- source link
