spybean: Help Tea Rose Recover From Surgery This is my baby Tea Rose, she’s a tiny three year old kitty who I adopted last November from a local shelter. Before being brought to the shelter, she was found starved half to death out in the wild. Being a domesticated kitty (and quite the little princess) she didn’t know how to take care of herself and she almost died out on the streets. When I got her she was very sick and horribly underweight, she had almost no fat on her and you could see every bone in her body. I brought her home and nursed her back to health to the best of my ability, but her problems didn’t stop there. Even though she did gain some weight, she’s still very underweight and fragile. On top of that, she throws up constantly and has stomach pains almost every day. When we took her to the vets, they found an unidentifiable mass in her stomach, which after surgery turned out to be rubber bands she most likely ate while trying to find food on the streets. While in surgery, they also found an abnormal narrowing in her gut. The combined cost of the vet visits, x-rays, blood tests, and surgery bills has added up to $2,700 dollars, which I have to pay for by myself. Not to mention that after she recovers from surgery we’ll need to do even more x-rays and tests to figure out what to do about the narrowing in her gut. I’m a 16 year old with a minimum wage job and diagnosed depression. Between finals, mental illness, and all the time and money spent on Tea Rose, I simply cannot afford all the expenses of trying to keep my cat alive. This is our GoFundMe page. Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated, and if you can’t donate then reblogging this post helps as well. Please help me save my cat. She’s the sweetest, tiniest kitty and all I want is for her to be healthy and happy. -- source link
