theymadeitlh28: kingofthecrxssroads:autistic jack kline headcanons (some explanations under the cut if ya want ‘em) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Continua a leggere Yes, they could definitely be autistic and have a good amount of autistic traits. But guys remember they are 2-4 in those gifs. Yes, they grew up and presents as a 20 year old, but kids learn all of those things by doing them bye copying. So what I see is a 2 year old who looks like a twenty year old, but is still in the cognitive learning process of a two year old. Our brain learns by copying the people around us, by doing things and seeing how the people around you react. Kids touch objects because they don’t know how they feel yet, kids haven’t associated the look of something with the feel of it. How do kids learn that the stove his hot, because they burn themselves it’s inevitable. The tactical phase is there for a reason. And poor Jack didn’t get to do those things, their brain never learned the associations. They don’t know that brick is cold and grainy, they don’t know you don’t look at people for a long period of time, they don’t know sarcasm because they haven’t learned that the tone can change the meaning of a sentence. So yes, looking at a 20 year old Jack behaving like this feels like they are part of the autistic spectrum and it is great that that is represented in the show and he still is seen as relatively normal, because it is. But, and maybe I am reaching here, I see a child still learning the norms of society and getting to know the world. I keep on thinking about how we say kids always tell the truth, but that’s wrong, kids tell us their facts and they do so directly (bluntly) because they haven’t learned that it can hurt someone. -- source link
