She just hadn’t had time to get back to her room and change for her piano lesson. Surely he wouldn’t mind this once if she turned up wearing something other than school uniform. And actually, he didn’t mind this once. At least she was wearing a nice dress and not jeans or some other grungy style. Then he saw her shoes.
