The next iteration of the fashion based on art! This one is based on Hokusai’s “Great Wave off Kanagawa” - which is honestly one of my favourite pieces of art. There’s something… just something. About it. I’m not sure I can describe why I love it so much. The white/light blue fluff would be either feathers or faux fur or similar, built up into voluminous cresting waves. I think probably feathers would be better, but i feel like something could be a better material, but I’m not sure what that would be… The brown sash would ideally be made out of something like a woven bamboo mat or something with similar texture. I forgot to draw the back of the dress on this one, but the idea would be for the sash to twist round to meet the hem of the dress, as would the fluff that’s running along the side of the sash. The skirt would be done as layers upon layers of semi translucent blues, in all different shades, until it was built up enough to give the volume and the deep oceanic blue. -- source link
