arthal:nanatsu-chan:qualitea-brit:albilibertea:the-cattywampus-womboose:I have always wondered how about how much Himaruya knows unicorn mythology. Because traditionally unicorns only present themselves to virgins. He probably doesn’t know this fact but if he does then what is he trying to tell us?Is he saying America is a virgin for getting a unicorn? Is he saying England is a virgin for even having a unicorn to give him?Is the unicorn symbolic of England giving America his virginity?!WHAT COULD IT MEAN?!?!I think the question here is ‘Is America NOT a virgin?’ because he can’t see the unicorn England gave him ._.neither can we Wait a secondNo, no. I don’t believe that this scene is anything like what you’re trying to say it is.It’s well known that the only time America can see mythical creatures is at Halloween. Other nations (such as France) can see these creatures when he visits England’s land, and England can see them all the time. This has nothing to do with any other unicorn mythology.I do not believe that Hima is making a virginity reference, considering that that was a theory created in an age when such myths were common. I don’t believe he’s trying to tell us anything but give us another scene emphasising that England can see creatures that America cannot (remember the after-meeting scene with Hook and Flying Mint Bunny? The Unicorn was there too, and that was not a ‘virginity reference’).Apologies for what you may term ‘acting like a stick in the mud’, but leaping to a conclusion that has no basis is slightly irritating. This is not about virginity. It’s not some subtle pseudo-ploy to make us think ‘what is the symbolism of this??’Cute as the scene is, it is not one to which you can tack anyone giving anyone else their virginity — it is not a shipping scene in that manner; those inferences are not deliberate and in my opinion, are wrong.Think what you will, but I wanted to have my say. -- source link
