Indoor dining will reopen in New York City at 25% capacity on Feb. 14. Just in time for the Valentines - one of the biggest money-making days for the dining/wining venues! Anyone who’s been to NYC or have lived here know that theatre & nightlife & dining are the heart of NYC. There are thousands of people who move here every year JUST for that! However, NYC restaurants & bars and night venues have suffered a lot in the last year. Even though a lot of restaurants managed to adapt and re-invent themselves, many closed for good. Not many had the budgets to stay afloat & invest in outside seating accommodations. The heating lamps alone cost a lot and it didn’t help that New York winters are brutal & no matter how much New Yorkers tried to support the restaurants - curling up in hats and gloves under the heating lamps, the falling temperatures forced the bravest to take-outs & home cooking. I must admit, the restaurants’ efforts to stay alive impresses me a lot. I’ve been taking photos of various accommodations because they are fucking great! #nyc #newyork #newyorkcity #newyorkers #restaurant #finedining #dining #lockdown #covid_19 #covid #andrewcuomo #outsidedining #resilience #iloveny #timeoutnewyork #architecture (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CKwvFlaD-i6/?igshid=bnqd1ol0twv3 -- source link
