The waistcoat is far from finished but we have to hand in our stuff for the gallery show today, so I’ll be hanging the partially embroidered panel along with a sketch of what it will look like when it’s done. I’ve been working very hard on this, but I seriously underestimated the number of hours it would take.Thankfully my teacher anticipated this, which is why she suggested I do an embroidered waistcoat for my grad piece! (I’m notoriously bad at time management, besides being a slow, picky perfectionist.) It still looks interesting as a work in progress, right?The greenish linen in the first and last pictures is what I’ll eventually use for the back. It’s not the exact same colour as the embroidery, but it’s pretty close considering it was just something I had in my fabric stash. -- source link
