This is frequently how I find out I have to take him for a weekend, from emails from my son. I need help covering this hotel room cost so I can get housing as well because frankly, this will set us back months in the process of moving into housing. He meant the Friday after his awards ceremony (which is next Friday), but that means I have to take him for the weekend and the next week, which is going to mean the hotel room will be just under $1,000.Good news: A dear friend of mine sent me $400 which I’ll be paying back in installments, and I just talked to a complex manager about a place potentially opening up in three weeks where they’ll negotiate on the deposit (likely to be $1,800 or so). If my mother still gets the monetary help from her medical team, and I can get at least $200 more, we should be able to get enough for the deposit as a whole. So anything from $200 to $600 should, fingers crossed if this place works out, allow us to get housing next month (the extra $400 would allow us to hire movers since my mom and I are disabled).We have a plan B!I got a message from a realtor I messaged a few days ago and there are a few 2 bedroom apartments in Fallbrook we can look at that are available now. Currently, we have the $1,000 still and the $400 from my friend which will cover a month’s rent but not the deposit.
