This is a moment I will never forget for the rest of my life. Peyton was born with his tibias rotated 30 degrees outward and had shins and feet permanently turned out. On top of constant physical pain, he was teased mercilessly in school because he couldn’t walk straight or run. As we prayed, he felt his tibias rotate, and I could feel his legs shifting under my hands. His pain stopped, so we stood up. When his pain was completely gone, we began to walk. When he could walk without pain, I asked, “Do you want to run?” He had never been able to before, but he ran pain-free for the first time in his life. As he ran, I noticed his right foot still wanting to turn out, and I had a hunch it was just bad muscle memory. I sat him back down and prayed that the Holy Spirit would give him brand new muscle memory to be able to do something he had never done before. His whole body immediately began to shake as God’s power surged through his muscles! He left pain free and able to walk and run with straight legs!
