veliseraptor:So I remember this was going around with captions about how this is Elrond calling his brother weak and what is characterization, and while that is all true, the way I reconcile it for myself is that this is Elrond being disappointed, because his brother is dead and his descendants are not as good as he was, and maybe he’s a little bit bitter because he feels like they are letting down Elros’ memory. …thoughts anyway.A lot of movie Elrond’s characterization bothered me, especially with how he treated Aragorn, whom he raised with love in the books.
