A final farewell to my beloved couch hound, the quietest and loudest of all the sweethearts in this
A final farewell to my beloved couch hound, the quietest and loudest of all the sweethearts in this world. If I’d known he’d be gone by the end of today, I would have told him I loved him a thousand times more. I’m going to miss him so fucking much. What really got me was that when I told my mother over the phone that I would have to put him to sleep, I expected it to just be me and him. I was sitting in the room for maybe half an hour after Chivy passed when my brother, sister-in-law and father showed up at the vet’s office out of nowhere and they just started crying as soon as they saw him. They all left work early when they got word. It’s been 5 hours and they’re still talking about him downstairs. None of them would have ever considered a dog’s life worth crying about before we got Chivy, and it shows how big of an influence such a small dog had.Rest in peace, little man. He always hated the wet weather of the winter. It will snow soon here Chivy, but your paws will always be dry in heaven. -- source link
