My sewing was interrupted for a while because I was busy packing all my things and moving, but now I am very nearly finished my 1730′s waistcoat! I only have to attach the back and then the back lining. Here are the buttonholes from the inside. I copied the lining technique on the c. 1725-40 waistcoat seen on page 13 of Waistcoats from the Hopkins Collection. (Pardon the dark speck, it’s trapped inside my camera lens.) -- source link
