yumearashi:No, but listen you guys. Look at her all sweet and innocent. Look how he *immediately* dismisses her. Now think about how she can, and probably will, put that ability to good use.Because let’s be real, as soon as things are settled enough that everyone has a chance to breathe, you just know that Nancy and Jonathan and Steve are going to go out and start leveling up in badass. All their preparation was very nearly not enough and if anything like this happens again (and they didn’t see it die, they haven’t seen a body, are any of them going to really feel sure it’s gone?) they want to be ready. Like, actuallylearning how to best use the weapons they’ve acquired. Learning how to improvise new ones or fight barehanded if they’re caught without any. Learning what to do if they get nabbed by the research facility’s security. Learning lock picking and hackingand grifting and strategical tactics. And allthree of them learn enough of everything that they could get themselves out of a jam if they’re separated, but of course they all have theirstrengths. Steve is the tank/weapons expert, Jonathan is thehacker/B&E guy/tactician, and best of all Nancy is their sharpshooter and grifter. Who would ever say no to thatinnocent sweet face? Everyone is sodismissive of teenage girls and she would use that to her advantage*ruthlessly*. She would absolutely playclueless and dumb, or sobbing Overemotional Teenage Girl, turning people’sprejudices against them. She probably would have donebetter sneaking into Hawkins lab than Hop did - a few artful sniffles, some batted eyelashes, a teary plea for helpwith her broken down car or whatever and they’d have been putty in her hand. -- source link
