yanavaseva: I tend to have one picture I’m painting while relaxing from drawing something else. This is one of them. Started it because I was thinking about how I wasn’t entirely happy with the last time I’ve drawn this guy’s face as seen from the front. It’s fun coming up with variants of clothes. The glowy thing can stop bullets and other blasts.Wanted to have a cheerier expression for once because after all his abilities include delivering punchlines and one-liners. He honed his skill from being around people who can foresee the next few seconds so they’ll know the punchline so you have to have perfect delivery. He managed to get to the point where they’d start laughing the moment he opens his mouth to tell the joke as they saw into the future the punchline, and then laugh again when he actually says it.So far the only person who hasn’t laughed at his most infamous joke is Lucia (the one from here) because she didn’t have the cultural context and doesn’t know the species of small mammal featured in the joke.She made that flag though. Famously because she saw the imagery in a vision and for some reason it looks exactly like an extant emblem she hasn’t seen before. The version without some of the layers will be the next post.
