tarotprose: I want to take a moment and wish Pamela “Pixie” Colman Smith a Happy Birthday. It is without a doubt that Pamela’s artwork is the iconic force and mainstream face of Tarot. I keep a photo of her on my reading table as a reminder of how truly wonderful she was. I want to take this time to give my respects on what she has done for the Tarot world. The Rider Waite Smith Tarot deck and all its clones and variations that we all know and many of us love has been such an impactful and iconic tarot deck worldwide. Pamela you are an icon forever in my heart and I thank you for your incredible contribution in my life and the lives of so many others. I’d be a pretty sad person without Tarot in my life and I am so thankful that the Rider Waite Smith was one of the first decks I learned my craft with. Happy Birthday.
