haredevilhare:Hey Venture fans can we talk about Amber Gold a little bitAnd likeHow freaking awesome she is, and how excited this fandom should be to see more of herWhat we’re seeing here is a female character, who seems to have made a genuine connection with Brock, who is not crazy and doesn’t make him feel like shit, who has been in an unhealthy relationship of her own (with Headshot) just like Brock, and who is herself an incredibly talented superspy who can apparently summon and control a wild fucking zebra on command with a whistleWhile I’d be even more excited if the Venture Bros would introduce a female character who wasn’t a white femme fatale, I’m still overjoyed that they’re giving more women more screen time, and I hope we get to see Amber upgraded to, say, Shore Leave status in this seasonBecause this is a show that deserves more women, more women with problems and insecurities but who are also amazing, women who are human. I’m not saying the show hasn’t had these before, but the diversity of women in this show does not approach that of its male characters, and I think maybe Doc and Jackson might be finally understanding that and working to correct that and that’s awesomeJust make the next one a woman of color pleaseMaybe a lesbian -- source link
