laughingatmynightmare: Hi Tumblr. My name is Shane Burcaw, and I’m the hipsterly-dressed dinosaur creature in the wheelchair above. The beautiful girl is my girlfriend Anna. We were climbing a mountain (in Tom’s and khakis, obviously). I need all of you to help me by reblogging this. As some of you know, I created a nonprofit organization called Laughing At My Nightmare, Inc. to help people living with my disease. Look at my (sexy) bod in the pic above: keeping that hunk of man meat alive is expensive as hell. From breathing machines, to feeding tubes, to the bathroom equipment that lets me poop when I need to, the cost of living with SMA is astronomical. Luckily, I have always had the items I need, but there are thousands of people in my position who don’t have those things. I can change that, like forreal. And I’m not going to stop until I do. I’ve created a program through my nonprofit called No More Nightmares. The idea is simple: We give away the vital items that people with muscular dystrophy need to thrive.
