gffa: Star Wars: The High Republic: The Rising Storm | by Cavan ScottStar Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi | by Charles SouleStar Wars: The High Republic comic | by Cavan ScottIt is so fascinating to me that the High Republic Jedi don’t just share philosophies and abilities with the prequels Jedi (there is very little that the High Republic Jedi say/teach/practice/do that the prequels Jedi don’t also say/teach/practice/do and vice versa, like their “code”/mantra is the same, their jumping off the nearest high points are the same, they’re the same culture) but that they’re often literally THE SAME PEOPLE.Yoda’s kind of a given, we already knew he was nearly 800 years old by the time of the prequels, so of course he’s around a lot in the High Republic. But then you also have prequels movies Jedi delivering killer lines like Yarael Poof does in the Council scene, where Oppo Rancisis is another prequels movie Jedi around in the time of the High Republic. And now there’s also Tera Sinube, a prequels Jedi from The Clone Wars, showing up in the High Republic, someone who has shown great promise and is swiftly rising within the Jedi Order. It’s such a lovely way to connect the prequels Jedi and the High Republic Jedi, like you can show them saying and teaching the same things, you can show them talking about the same concepts of attachment and emotional control, you can have them say the same mantra, but it really delivers home that these are not separate groups of people, that the prequels Jedi and the High Republic Jedi would easily fit in with each other, when they are often literally the same people saying the same things in both. -- source link
