After a few attempts mixing gold powder and our eco-friendly inks, we’re finally satisfied with the result and happy to offer this brand new custom mix for a limited range of our prints. The one pictured here is the gold edition of our “Balor’s Banquet” print, made in collaboration with our extremely talented friend @seanfitzgeraldart. You can purchase one through our Etsy shop (link in bio) or get in touch via DM if you’re interested in a custom order. The Fomorians were hostile gods who represent the harmful or destructive powers of nature; personifications of chaos, darkness, death, blight and drought. They have thus been likened to the jötnar of Norse mythology. They wore no clothing in battle, only punctured animal patterns and symbols to protect them. Their spoils were food, severed heads and human captives for slaves. These heads held great significance for identity and status. By displaying the skull and bones the clan was protected and it sent a clear warning to other tribes. Among Fomorian warriors there were powerful women as well. Balor’s Banquet print finely represents two Fomorians, a man and a woman, sharing their spoils of victory. https://www.instagram.com/p/B3AFBXKnP62/?igshid=emcec69stcbh -- source link
