The baptistry ceiling mosaics in Ravenna, Italy. One of the 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites in Ravenna. Christ being baptized in the river Jordan while the 12 apostles wait to deliver gifts to Christ’s throne. The building was once attached to an Arian cathedral. The ceiling mosaics are all that are left of the interior decorations. They are fabulous though- that’s all real gold. -- source link
