The Blue Lagoon. While it is incredibly indulgent, and yes, very expensive, it was worth it. After sleeping in a car for 5 nights I really needed a bit of a spa day and even a cheap backpacker like me was able to have a wonderful time. They have a swim up bar (which I had never experienced before and greatly enjoyed), people sitting and taking your picture in the bright blue water so that you don’t have to risk your cameras or phones, and boxes of silica mud around the pool for you to coat your body in (apparently its good for your skin?). They make even the stingiest spenders feel like VIP’s and I was able to be a princess for a day…albeit I had silica mud on my face for a good chunk of the day and looked more like a ghost than a girl but coming out of that mineral rich water after 6 hours and once I had gotten the mud off my skin and out of my hair I felt like a million dollars. -- source link
