The idea of burning disco records in between games was the idea of Chicago DJ Steve Dahl. Needless to say (see above) it did not go well. The White Sox had to forfeit the second game. Luckily it didn’t matter. They finished 14 games out of first in the American League West in ‘79. -- source link
