cosmacy: . many angels take their true forms inspired by animals , typically utilizing their associated qualities to parallel with their duties , patronages , personality , or otherwise themes . “ the bishop ”( left ) takes the form of a tall owl adorned in a stole embroidered with celestial patterning , a miter, a crosier , and a large beaded rosary around its neck . in reference to byzantine art’s globus cruciger , under its claws rests an orb , symbolizing a dominion over the world . hidden within its feathers are far too many eyes , and the presence of the bishop is wise yet ever watchful . within the higher plane , the bishop is a philosopher dedicated to studies based on christian theology and has become a celestial representative of the religion itself . . inspired by an old mantis-based oc of mine that has long since needed a refresh , this angel wears large separate sleeves and a toga - like garment . its hair appears on fire ; though its fire does not burn any surface it may touch . depending on this entity’s status and condition , it’s hair will change colors in temperature and quality of the fire: from flame colors created in chemistry labs ( spanning the entire rainbow ) to gold , silver , and many other colors unimaginable . though i have not specifically designed this entity with a duty / position in mind , i would like to imagine them as being a celestial chemist based on the basic alchemical element of fire as well as the colors of their hair . from the ultra infinite angeltober 2021 list created by one of my favorite angel artists ( whom i bought all available stickers from a year ago but have too much indecision to stick them anywhere ) @ultrainfinitepit -- source link
